Maintenance and Support Policies
All products sold by Management & Information Systems Consulting, Inc. (MISC)
are maintained and supported both at the dealer and vendor level. We have
therefore established a tiered structure for maintenance and support of products
we sell.
LOCAL LEVEL SUPPORT: As a software dealer, it is our policy to give our
customers the quickest response time possible in answering their questions. It
is important that our customers have access to MISC personnel whether we are in
the office or on the road. Existing customers and customers with server problems
(i.e., system down) have priority.
Remote support: With current technology, it is possible for MISC to
handle computer problems that arise at your agency without us actually being on
your premises. Travel time and expense is eliminated with this type of support.
Your computer equipment must have either an internal or external modem of at
least 56Kbps for this type of support. With communications packages available
today, it is possible to dial into your computer system and diagnose the
problem. Remote support is billed to the customer at our normal consulting rate.
On site support: As always, we continue to provide on site support of the
products we sell. These support calls are scheduled for the next available time
slot. On site support is billed to the customer at our normal consulting rate
with a minimum of one hour on site time. We currently do not charge for travel
time or mileage to customers in the metro Milwaukee area..
For our current consulting rates, please call our Waukesha office.
VENDOR SUPPORT: Many of the vendors, Management & Information Systems
Consulting, Inc. represents, have support programs related to their products.
Within these support programs, some vendors have annual maintenance agreements
which may be offered to their customers. Some of the agreements are mandatory
and others are suggested. Because customers will receive updates and patches to
software, which will keep them current, from these vendors as part of the
maintenance agreement, it is recommended that our customers take advantage of
these programs. It is an inexpensive way to keep your product current. Most
vendor annual maintenance programs are usually billed to the customer at
approximately 15 - 25% of the product purchase price. Contact MISC for current
prices.

Software Training Options
Training on products sold by Management & Information Systems Consulting,
Inc. is available in many forms both for initial and ongoing personnel training
.
MISC personnel are conversant with the products sold and are available
for training of your company's personnel. Product training sessions may take
place on site (at the customer's location), at an off site location (to be
determined) or via the Internet (commonly referred to as a Web Seminar).
Sometimes it is preferable to have training done away from the business
environment at an off site training facility. Such off site training can afford
a more comprehensive and less interruptible training session.
Please contact us for current training rates and to schedule time for the
training of your company's personnel.
